October 21 post "Walmart"
Today in class we began our discussion of economics. We spoke specifically about Walmart and how it is good for consumers (low prices), but for small "mom and pop" businesses in small towns it is not so good. In your opinion do you think the benefits of having Walmart in a community outweigh the downfalls? Please share your opinion.

The economy game was fun today, but I don't think that each commodity has equal value, making the game kind of unfair to groups whose commodity isn't needed as much. Maybe you could change the rules a bit...
